Dave Lubowe

Managing Director, EY

Biography

Dave has over 35 years experience, in industry and consulting, helping companies transform their operations and supply chain performance. His work has focused on operational improvement, large scale transformation and the application of emerging technologies to drive improvement in a practical way. He is a Managing Director in EY Advisory’s Supply Chain and Operations practice, and is NA leader for Process Transformation consulting.

Starting out at Procter & Gamble, Dave became known as someone who could manage – and improve – production of paper towels and bathroom tissue, although his favorite job was turning around the Coremaking Department, which produced over 1 million eight-foot-long cardboard tubes every three days.

Following P&G, Dave set up and managed operations for an electronics startup, and participated in development of several generations of the product. This startup experience taught Dave a lot about how not to run a company.

Then Dave entered the consulting world, joining Price Waterhouse Consulting, which became PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, and then IBM Global Business Services, ultimately joining EY. His clients have included Lam Research, Applied Materials, Franklin Covey, Union Pacific Railroad, BNSF, Starbucks, McKesson, AMD, Arrow, Cepheid, Kateeva, Corteva and IBM.

Dave holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University and 5 US patents. He is popular with several airlines and hotel chains, and will undoubtedly be survived by his wife and 3 children.
