Mr. Niederer has been leading Svitzer Americas since February 2017. Has previous experience as the Managing Director for Svitzer Europe and UK as well as 13 years of experience at Maersk, including 7 years as Group Vice President.
In Americas Marc is focused on the business growth, customer centricity and development of more than 744 employees with 77 vessels in 37 operations; one of the most promising regions for A.P Moller-Maersk.
Marc has managed the largest Towage operation in Europe with 1200 staff, 150 vessels in 40 different operations.
He also was responsible for UK Towage activities for Svitzer, with 700 employees and 90 vessels.
Marc Niederer has a Harvard business degree as well as an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Niederer is considered one of the top 120 executives within Maersk.
