Biography

Beau has spent over 30 years challenging organizations in systems thinking, from manufacturing floor and supply chains to financial institutions and large integrated healthcare systems. He worked with CEOs in the 90’s to challenge them on their one-sided decisions to offshore manufacturing through understanding not just the differential in labor cost but the total cost of the move. His arguments usually failed, which has made him a cautious skeptic of the international supply chains. His recent articles on the failure of both the Strategic National Stockpile and the Defense Production Act during the current pandemic are highlighting a need for system thinking at a high level to provide a successful response to our national security needs. And, an indirect challenge on the assumptions we have within our own supply chains. His critical thinking in process and systems improvements has been documented in two award-winning books, Perfecting Patient Journeys and The Complete Lean Enterprise. He currently advises organizations in innovating and adapting to dynamic market conditions.
