Biography

Dr. Bell has over 30 years of supply chain operations and general management experience with companies such as Johnson & Johnson Consumer, Inc., The Coca-Cola Company, Whirlpool Corporation, and Maersk. Although Dr. Bell’s supply chain focus has been primarily in the areas of Deliver and Customer Service, Dr. Bell has significant experience in the Source and Make functions as well. Dr. Bell’s background also includes extensive management consulting experience with Capgemini and KPMG, where he has led supply chain diagnostics and developed strategies for leading retail, consumer products, chemical, and energy companies, such as Ahold USA (leading supermarket chain conglomerate) OfficeMax, Best Buy, DuPont, ExxonMobil, and The Limited. At Rutgers, Dr. Bell serves as the Assistant Undergraduate (Supply Chain) Program Director for the New Brunswick campus and Campus Coordinator for SAP Americas and Gartner.

Dr. Bell holds a doctorate degree in Management from the University of Maryland, an M.B.A. from Rutgers University, and a B.A. in International Studies from The American University. Dr. Bell is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI) and certified in Operational Excellence (Lean/Six Sigma) through The Coca-Cola Company. In addition, Dr. Bell has taught supply chain and project management courses through distance learning and in-classroom programs for over 10 years. 

Dr. Bell currently resides in Princeton, NJ with his Labradoodle, Marley. His hobbies are:  travel, writing, cooking, and community service.
