As Managing Director DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics Americas, Guido Gries oversees the business development for all of the Americas including North, Central and South America. As part of the company’s GLOBAL 2018 growth strategy, he is tasked with ensuring DACHSER representation in the most important economic centers and air/seaports of the western hemisphere. He is responsible for connecting the country organizations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru and the U.S. to the DACHSER network to seamlessly integrate all import and export business by air or sea from and to Europe and Asia as well as within the American continent.
To achieve this goal, Guido Gries established a new air freight gateway in 2015 that connected DACHSER’s global network with Latin America through the gateway in Miami, Florida, where 80% of air freight are to the south of the continent. Through this service, DACHSER can consolidate airfreight from Europe, Asia and North America while offering regular services to the main airports of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
With more than 30 years of logistics and management experience, Guido Gries brings an important global perspective of the transportation industry to DACHSER in heading the Americas Region. He is based in Miami, Florida – America’s gateway to Latin America.
