The Global Supply Chain Excellence Summit is designed to stimulate ideas and provoke conversation on a broad range of important topics.

The International Executive Experiential program is designed for international executives and managers who want to explore key issues in global supply chain management in intensive, focused group settings.

 

Participants will work through case studies and interactive learning modules in small group sessions. Workshops will be held in conjunction with a luncheon featuring notable speakers, and site visits to industrial facilities in the Los Angeles area, showcasing best practices in supply chain management.

As part of the program, participants will have the opportunity to network at the private VIP Reception along with speakers, sponsors, and board members the night prior to the 2 day Summit. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from USC Marshall for the International Executive Training Program.

Training Modules

Examines ways to use technology and process to achieve and improve fill rates, visibility, risk management and efficiencies in supply chains.

Will discuss how to synthesize internal and external information at a much faster pace, and focus on modeling and predicting the future.

Will discuss how new technologies and innovations are changing the supply chain practice, exploring topics like automation, robotics, self-driving vehicles, and IoT.

Will discuss how to strategically manage your indirect spend and achieve better, more consistent supplier performance.

United Parcel Service Inc.

UPS has signed one of the largest Industrial leases in Los Angeles County, taking 525,400 square feet warehouse in a deal valued at more than $44 million.

AMAZON

Triples Southern California delivery hubs to get packages out faster since March 2021. The expansion has increased Amazon’s “last-mile” distribution footprint to 5.2 million square feet, nearly quadrupling its space in the region and dwarfing acquisitions by all other competing retailers and logistics firms.

Faculty

The USC Marshall School of Business’s world-class faculty consists of industry leaders with decades of experience in supply chain management. Our faculty hold prominent positions in fields including lean operations, logistics, operations management, and distribution. Guest instructors from the Center’s advisory board include Fortune 500 executives and supply chain leaders with specialized functional expertise.

The program will be led by the Center’s Executive Director, Nick Vyas. He is a nationally recognized expert in Global Supply Chain and Lean Six Sigma application with practical and academic experience. He has run global supply chain operations for Fortune 500 companies with proven results and robust transformation.
