James’ extensive supply chain experience includes regional and last-mile network design for carriers, shippers, and private fleets. He helped launch operations for Parachute, a regional delivery carrier, and led strategy and systems improvement projects for CVS, Interline Brands (The Home Depot Pro), Castellini, Ecoserv, and others.
Currently, James heads logistics and is a member of the executive leadership team for Santa Monica Seafood Co, a Southern California-based food processor and distributor with 10 production and distribution facilities in the Southwest and Midwest. At SMS, James’ responsibilities include global inbound logistics and outbound delivery operations serving over 1,400 customers daily in 21 states.
James earned his MS in Transportation from MIT and BA in Economic Geography Magna Cum Laude from UCLA. His skills include Lean Operations, Managerial Finance, and Business Valuation. James also serves on the benchmarking steering committee for National Private Truck Council.
