Beginning 2015, Ronald de Boer was appointed Associate Professor Supply Chain Finance (SCF) at the Strategic Entrepreneurship Research Centre of Windesheim University of Applied Sciences (Zwolle, The Netherlands). In this role, Ronald is responsible for several national and international research programs that help companies increase the performance of their supply networks by developing and implementing innovative SCF solutions. As such, he works closely with large multinationals, including Heineken, Philips and Unilever, but also with SMEs from various regions. The research programs he leads are carried out in close cooperation with renown international universities such as Fraunhofer, Politechnico de Milano, University of St. Gallen and Warwick University.
Ronald received a MSc in Industrial Engineering as well as a PhD in Operations Management & Logistics at the University of Twente. He also studied International Business at the Loughborough University Business School.
His working experience includes a variety of roles including Supply Chain Optimization, Enterprise Resource Planning and Consultancy. As Senior consultant at ORTEC he advised organizations in a wide range of industries, such as health care, construction and security, as well as the military (Royal Dutch Navy). From 2006 to 2014, Ronald worked for Procter & Gamble. In his role as Global Program Manager, he was responsible for the implementation of Advanced Planning & Scheduling Solutions across production sites globally.
