Kristina Soric
Business Department Chair of Rochester Institute of Technology Croatia (RIT Croatia)
Kristina Soric, PhD, is the Business Department Chair and a professor at Rochester Institute of Technology Croatia, where she teaches Operations Management. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Zagreb and completed her PhD in Applied Mathematics at the Department of Pure and Applied Mathematics, University of Padua, Italy. Her primary research interests include operations research, optimization, supply chain management, and operations management.
She is a member of the Croatian Operational Research Society, where she served as president from 2000 to 2004, as well as a member of the Croatian Mathematical Society. Throughout her academic career, she has published numerous scientific and professional papers in journals indexed in relevant databases, as well as on specialized supply chain management platforms.
Kristina has collaborated with companies across Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Konzum d.d., Bambi d.d., Vivera d.o.o., Podravka d.d., SDA Croatia d.o.o., Atlantic d.o.o., and Tokic d.o.o. She is currently co-coordinating the EU Interreg project DINAMIC DANUBE, with a total budget of €2.4 million and involving 17 partners from 13 European countries. The project focuses on agri-food short supply chains and aims to develop a new educational curriculum for relevant stakeholders.
She is also the founder of Luyouma, a platform dedicated to the education, promotion, and implementation of supply chain management practices (www.luyouma.com). In addition, she holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and is a certified trainer for The Fresh Connection simulation.
